This 23 year old Male patient with a history of bipolar disorder taking no seizure medications had a 21 channel EEG recording performed in the awake state. The background activity was well organized. The posterior dominant rhythm was approximately 10 Hz and symmetrically reactive. There was no generalized slowing noted. Focal slowing was not noted. Hyperventilation was performed with symmetric slowing of the background. Photic stimulation was performed at frequencies of 2-20 Hz with a symmetric driving response. Epileptiform activity was not noted during the procedure.
IMPRESSION: This EEG recording is normal.
